Mark my words: You'll see these lines in a text and on the cover will be Meghan Woods

Opening lines

Wouldn't you know I ran into an old fella who professed he wanted to be my nicotine?

I reduce every man I have ever dated to the sum of his absurdities. Then I multiply that sum by six.

What connects us, is, some twisting cord that pumps not blood but another ironclad familiar warmth, a fragrance from my childhood that I missed without knowing I missed until he was born and I was reintrdocued to that wondermuck smell.

Dream deferred

I used to spell fonetically. I used to just spell without considering whether the i comes before the e and i enjoy that kind of spelling because its very free and you don't worry about who's going to tell you, oh, that's wrong. you're wrong. i used to talk in my mind and it would flow and flow uninhibited until i learned that someone reads what i write and looks for spelling errors and i started censoring myself because i couldn't spell the word to express the thought without looking it up and loosing the flow. and so i am happy that spell check makes it easier, but it doesn't brin that freedon bvck.
